Smart candidates fail on random prep.

After five years and 1,000+ resumes on the interviewer side, three patterns keep coming up:

The fix is sequence, not volume.

Scattered prep resources cut down to one ordered path
  1. 01

The loudest advice comes from people who left consulting in the nineties, or after one year. Nobody shows you the rubric you are actually scored on.

  2. 02

Every platform sells volume: 100 cases here, 300 there. You will not do 300 cases, and they would not help.

  3. 03

The things that decide your outcome, office choice and confidence on the day, get no prep time at all.

The path, stop by stop.

Every stop from the path above. At each one: the lessons, their runtimes, and the practice tools built for it.

Hi, I’m Mo.

I spent five years at McKinsey. I sat on the interviewer’s side of the case table, reviewed over a thousand resumes, and left with a distinctive rating and two early promotions.

Before that, I was a broke international, chemical-engineering student prepping from YouTube and secondhand case books. I built the course I needed back then.

Why $69

I was a broke student once, so the price stays as low as I can keep it. $69 is the summer price and it becomes $99 on September 1. If it is still too much right now, email scholarships@cuttothecase.com.

Worth it if you have an interview in the next three months and want one plan to follow. Skip it if you’d rather keep collecting resources.

Questions, answered.

I’m starting from zero. Is this for me?

Yes. Every module assumes no background in business, economics, finance, or math. The business module is literally titled From Zero to Hero. Already know a topic? Play it at 1.5 or 2x and treat it as review.

Can I just prep with free YouTube videos?

You can try, most people do. Free advice is scattered across a hundred tabs, much of it is outdated, and nothing tells you which half is wrong. It also gives you nothing to practice on. You are interviewing for a $120,000 to $200,000 job after years of tuition. The finish line is a strange place to start saving $69.

People I asked said they only used free resources.

People are rarely honest about their prep. Effortless sounds better than months of drilling. Across five years at McKinsey and hundreds of candidates coached since, I have almost never seen an offer built on free resources alone. Treat the claim the way interviewers treat unsupported claims: politely, with doubt.

How is this different from the hundred other resources?

One purchase, everything included, no upsells inside. The whole journey in order: firm and office choice, resume, networking, assessments, the case method, behavioral, and your first year on the job. Condensed to 20 hours of prep (12 of video, 8 of practice), current as of July 2026, and priced to keep the playing field level. That is the mission.

My interview is in two weeks. Is it too late?

No. The 7-day plan cuts the course to the hours that matter most for a near-term interview: the Interview Dance, business and finance, math, and the behavioral module.

Do I need a case partner?

No. The six cases run interactively inside the member platform, the drills are solo by design, and the exam simulations are timed like the real thing. A partner helps, but nothing here requires one.

I really can’t afford this. Do you offer scholarships?

Yes. Email scholarships@cuttothecase.com and tell us your situation. We are happy to support deserving students.

I run a consulting club. Can we work together?

Yes. We offer bulk discounts for university and consulting clubs and occasionally sponsor events. Email partnerships@cuttothecase.com.

Stop prepping from a pile of tabs.

One system, in the right order, from the interviewer’s side of the table.
